Bio
Born in London, England, Sir George Albert Shearing moved to the United States in 1947 and soon established himself as a composer and pianist of immense stature. Having composed over 300 songs, pieces such as "Conception" and "Lullaby of Birdland" have become jazz standards and are still played in jazz venues around the world.
