Stephen Bruton was an American singer/songwriter and guitarist. He released a number of CDs under his own name and produced other artists offerings as well. Bruton also acted in a number of featrue films over a 20 plus year acting career.

Many inside the business considered Bruton one of the best songwriters on the planet, regardless of style. It was never merely wordplay for Bruton, however. He possessed a wisdom and a joy for live and living and a love and concern for others that was truly remarkable. Much of those attributes showed up in his compositions.

Stephen Bruton was also an incredible guitar player; gorgeous tone, extremely musical lines, quirky approach. The son of a jazz drummer, Bruton was exposed to a wide variety of musical genres early and could step into those other styles and play them with true authenticity. He was a master of all trades.
