A North Charlotte, North Caroline native, Catherine Popper is a bass player and vocalist most well known for her stint with Ryan Adams with the group The Cardinals and for her current gig with Grace Potter and the Nocturnals. Popper started on the bass at age 9 and plays jazz as well as rock and roots music.
