Elvis Presley is perhaps one of the most famous singers of all time or any genre. He achieved icon status early in his career as he shattered the image of what a singer could and should do onstage.

Elvis recorded well over a dozen albums and also appeared in many movies over the course of his career. He died early, at the age of 42, likely as a result of the number and quantities of drugs he used.
