Etta James, the Matriarch of R&B, was an American blues and jazz vocalist who also blended elemets of gospel, soul, and rock and roll into her very individual style. Also known as Miss Peaches, James is perhaps most well known for her version of what became her signature song, "At Last."

James also had hits with other songs such as "Tell Mamma", "I'd Rather Go Blind", and "Dance With Me, Henry." She won 6 Grammyu awards and over a dozen Blues Music Awards and was inducted into the Rock & Roll, the Blues, and the Grammy Halls of Fame.

James ultimately recorded over 30 albums and recieved close to 20 Grammy nominations.
